Discover
California’s best
kept secret: Land banking
….
They say if you want to
be successful, imitate those
who have done it. Well,
if you could follow in the
footsteps of:
…
would you probably get it
right? They all made multi-multi
millions over the last few
decades by simply buying
and holding prime land in
Southern California's booming
regions.
And guess
who’s investing there
now… Sir Richard Branson.
In this same area he’s
spending $225 million to
put up, you guessed it,
Virgin Galactic, the world’s
first public Spaceport.
Do you think that will make
this place a little more
popular? Imagine a similar
scenario just before Disneyland
was built among some cheap
orange groves about 50 years
ago (Orange County has very
few orange groves left anymore).
How can
you still find close in,
affordable land with good
financing in the new growth
areas?
Today,
some of the greatest growth
rates in the Nation are
taking place in Southern
California's Inland Empire
and Antelope Valley. The
U.S. Department of Commerce
has predicted that the growth
rate of the Inland Empire
will outpace all other areas
of the United States. The
Inland Empire is situated
inside of a 75-mile circle
surrounding the Los Angeles
Basin, and contains both
Riverside and San Bernardino
Counties. The Victor Valley
is located in the Inland
Empire North. Today, there
are approximately 290,000
people in the Victor Valley,
and the growth that is taking
place is truly astonishing.
It Is Predicted
That The Victor Valley Will
Have 1,000,000 Residents
By 2013 (from 300,000)
According
to the Victorville Daily
Press, May 11, 2005, the
Victor Valley will be home
to a million people within
eight years. That's the
prediction of Victorville
Mayor Mike Rothschild, who
based the forecast on market
research accounting for
the addition of a rail spur
and a resulting surge of
home-grown businesses at
Southern California Logistics
Airport and elsewhere. The
Mayor said: " We'll
be creating a job market
independent of the L.A.
market," he said. "(The
rail spur and Southern California
Logistics Airport) will
bring in 7,000 to 15,000
jobs directly. And there
will be a spin-off of 40,000
to 50,000 of other jobs
as restaurants, barbers
and such opening up."
The Antelope
Valley region of Southern
California includes both
Los Angeles and Kern Counties,
and is located within a
reasonable drive of Los
Angeles. The Antelope Valley
already has over 300,000
residents with no slow down
in sight. According to the
Antelope Valley Journal,
April 16, 2004, the number
of residential permits that
were pulled in the Antelope
Valley in January and February
2004 increased 87 percent
compared to the same period
last year and may signal
a record year for the local
building industry.
It's not
too late to own land in
the Victor Valley or Antelope
Valley while prices are
still affordable and excellent
financing is still available.

metropolitan areas

budgets
8. Existing and planned
